An English teacher by profession and a five-star gourmet at heart, she blends the art of storytelling with the sensory joy of food, creating narratives that feel vivid, textured, and delicious. Her work draws on cultural traditions, literature, and history, which she threads together to craft immersive, heart-forward tales.
A graduate of Thomas Edison State University with a degree in Language Arts, Lorie has dedicated her life to education, creativity, and cross-cultural appreciation.
Her debut fantasy fiction book, The Tale of Penelope’s Red Hot Pickled Peppered Peanuts, introduces the spirited Princess Penelope and reflects Lorie’s deep admiration for Africa, unity, and heritage.
